The choir at St Mary's numbers 35 singers who rehearse on Friday evenings during term time. They sing each week at the 10am Eucharist and 6.30 Choral Evensong During the Summer there is usually a visit to a cathedral, when they sing the services in place of the cathedral choir. This coming summer we will visit Lincoln and during the summer of 2010 we will visit Lichfield.
Enquiries relating to Baptism are welcome and in the first instance should be made to the Vicar who will arrange a short informal interview with parents. Baptism is available for those resident within the Parish or who have ‘connection’. Those residing outside of the Parish or without formal ‘connection’ with the church can only be offered Baptism by arrangement with the Parish Priest in their parish of residence.
Baptism services are normally held within the main morning Eucharist and on the second Sunday of the month.
Details relating to preparation for Baptism are available from the Vicar, together with recommendations and regulations of the Church relating to Godparents, commitment and promises. Please do feel that any enquiry is important as parents and godparents take the important step of bringing children into membership of God’s Church.
A prayer for all those to be baptised.

That we and all who are baptised in your name
May know your presence in our lives and in our homes.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
